USA Today called it a “bread box on wheels.” His eight foot, eight inch length will fit head-on to the street corner in a parking lot. It lacks a hood and a trunk. It’s quirky! It’s eccentric! It’s cool! But it is a car that is rapidly gaining a following in a nation noted for super-sized cars.

Smart is manufactured by Daimler AG, a manufacturer of super mini and micro cars. The company is headquartered in Böblingen, Germany, but the cars produced in France.

Smart was originally conceived by Swatch, a Swiss watch manufacturer. It was designed to be innovative and affordable. And interestingly enough, while the car is fuel efficient, the motives behind the design was not fuel economy, but easy parking. Two or three wisdom can be mounted in a standard car parking space.

Dealers and brokers may not participate.

Smart, the fun brand, which produced fortwo and other similar tiny eco-friendly cars, has decided it is time to get creative. Many people will claim that their cars are already pretty “out there” in terms of design, style and concept – but apparently creating cars that could fit into a handbag and vehicles made of lightweight modular sections simply are not enough for Mercedes-Benz .
