The car guide answered most of my questions, but not all. It is an aid in the evaluation of cars you might be interested in purchasing. Rating: 4 / 5
For the vast majority of car buyers, this is probably the best resource. Unless you’re super-performance or the subtleties of automotive technology, it is probably the only resource you besoin.Pour any car you want to check Consumer Reports tells you clearly what kind of car it is and who he is, how reliable it was, satisfaction of its customers were, and how it holds its value. There is also information about performance and various routine “specs”, certainly enough for 95% of us. If you’re a car enthusiast Extreme, you may be disappointed: this book is not as “hard core” car publications. But Consumer Reports has done an excellent job of including what most of us want to see – and can understand! After all, much of the material in the “hard core” of publications is Greek to us, right? And actually some of the technical material from this source is also a little hard to take, but it is not as intimidating. I think that’s fair enough to help us expand our technical knowledge, without turning our brain bouillie.Consumer Reports is known for its “reliability” ratings, and indeed this information is probably the most valuable and most distinctive Part of this CR does on cars. And indeed, this aspect should be of interest even for the “amateur”, because the most difficult of key publications that are not such a thing. The reliability ratings are presented in a form that is easy to learn and easy to understand at a glance. While the reliability property does not guarantee that the car is good, it certainly stacks the deck in your faveur.Un aspect of the “reliability” of Consumer Reports system that does not receive enough credit for how is of excellent quality are his criteria for defining and determining reliability. Some other organizations (including very well known) use criteria that have little to do with what most of us mean by “reliability” – their investigations focus primarily on the “number of complaints,” regardless of the how complaints are important. For example, complaints about rattles, or radio reception, or wish the car had more power, are counted as problems and charged on the car. (Often, these organizations do not use the word, but the reliability of some other term such as “quality”, but the media and the public in general do not receive this distinction.) Consumer Reports puts more emphasis on issues related to basic operation of the car, which is what most of us are concerned davantage.Consumer Reports is also famous for being perhaps the most objective and neutral evaluator of products, free of any influence from manufacturers and other interested parties. From what I’ve never been able to say, reputation is well méritée.La chicanery that I have to document their car, it seems they may look a little too to practice and do not show enough appreciation for certain types of upgrades. For example, they tend towards the idea that the additional payment for a Mercury Mountaineer Ford Explorer is a waste, also on an Acura or a Honda a Lexus over a Toyota. But once you realize that the apparent bias, just to consider in making your own decisions. And then there’s a lot to say about the practicality. Rating: 5 / 5
